Servicios:

The University of West Indies -Cave Hill has experience in renewable energy projects such as: solar photovoltaic powered lighting, energy efficiency in refrigeration systems, and small renewable energy models. In addition, UWI is involved in an international project: The Small Developing Island Renewable Energy Transfer project (DIREKT), with the aim of strengthening the science and technology capacity in the field of renewable energy, by means of technology transfer, information exchange and networking. The leading area of environmental management is The Centre for Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES). It promotes and facilitates sustainable development in the Caribbean through: applied research, innovative projects, and professional training. CERMES provides advisory services to governments, NGOs and the private sector. The UWI also has two graduate programmes of reference: “Renewable Energy Management” and “Natural Resource and Environmental Management”.
